Yesterday, Sunday, was the last day of Comic Con and of our geeky fun in San Diego. We woke up usual time around 8 and got checked out of the hotel. Then we ate a breakfast at the hotel restaurant where Steve had a Super Omelette.
We got to the Con around 11 and wandered in to the panel where Nic Cage and his very goth son discuss comics. This was, as expected, a brilliantly hilarious panel. After this ended, we walked the floor a little more, and Anth and I watched Steve part with more of his money. After a while, my exhaustion set in and I decided I needed to sit down.
I went to the back balcony area of the convention center, which has a beautiful view facing the harbor. I soaked up some sun, basked in my last afternoon of California beauty, and watched some medieval knights joust. Then I returned to the Con floor to meet up with Steve and Anth for one final walk-through and the saying of goodbyes to friends and Klingons.
We left the Con, grabbed our luggage back at the hotel, and headed to the airport very early as usual. We ate a long dinner, video-chatted with Armando and John, and boarded our plane. I managed to get what passes for sleep on a nighttime plane ride, and we arrived back into JFK around 6am.
Now, I need a nap and a shower. More pics/video below the cut-
